Resources
Unfortunately counselling isn’t an emergency service. If you find yourself in crisis and need someone to talk to, the following services are available.
If you are feeling suicidal or have self harmed and are concerned about it, please dial 999, 111 or visit your nearest A+E department.
Somerset Mindline
Mind offers support 24/7 and a crisis safe space in many areas around Somerset between 6pm and 10pm daily. Their website also offers many links to local healthcare teams and services.
The Samaritans
The Samaritans offer a 24/7 helpline for those needing to talk as well as useful information if you are worried about someone close to you.
Childline
Childline is available to anyone under 19years of age. They provide counsellors to talk to and additional online resources to help those in need.
The BACP
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. For more information about the BACP, the work they do or just counselling in general, you can visit their website here.
